Pillar III
Student Experience.
To systematically gather, analyse and act upon student feedback to improve the academic and co-curricular experience.

Student feedback architecture
Five ways your voice is heard.
Course evaluations
Anonymous online surveys at the end of each teaching period, for every course.
Annual satisfaction survey
University-wide: academic services, facilities, student services and campus life.
Exit survey
For graduating students, looking back on the whole academic journey.
Focus groups
Structured discussions each year with representative student groups in every school.
Complaints and appeals
CQAD monitors the nature, volume and resolution of complaints through the Registrar's Office, using de-identified data.
Alumni and tracer surveys
Graduates tell us where Central has taken them, one, three and five years on.
Working with Student Services
Acting on what students say.
CQAD meets every quarter with the Dean of Students and the Director of Academic and Student Services to:
- review feedback data and identify systemic issues needing an institutional response
- track the action plans that follow the satisfaction surveys
- monitor student welfare indicators and their link with academic outcomes
- keep standards high in registration, advising and examinations
Counselling & career services
Quality benchmarks for CCSD.
- Minimum counsellor-to-student ratios in line with GTEC student support standards
- Annual review of career placement rates and graduate employment outcomes
- Assessment of the quality and relevance of career development programmes
CQAD works only with aggregate figures from CCSD. It never has access to counselling records.
